Le Mans 24 Hours Availability Update

Now that spring is upon us, everyone’s thoughts are turning to June and the biggest race of the calendar; the Le Mans 24 Hours. The race teams have been testing and modifying their new cars and technology over the last few months, the circuit has been finalising their plans and printing tickets, and here at Travel Destinations we have been working hard behind the scenes to provide the best service for our customers at the circuit.

Test Day 24th April 2011

Returning in 2011 is the chance for teams and spectators to take a first look this year at the famous Le Mans circuit at test day. Unusually this falls on Easter Sunday this year. The big players are likely to present, with Peugeot and Auditaking this opportunity to test the recent modifications to their cars. Aston Martin will also be keen to get some significant mileage in their new AMR-One, which made its debut recently in the Le Mans Series race at Paul Ricard.

For spectators wishing to attend the test day, weekend camping at the Houx campsite will be available for €15.00, car parking is €10.00, whilst entrance tickets are available for €10.00. Remember that your race ticket for June will allow you access to the test day for free. Due to it being Easter weekend Channel crossings are busy, but we are still able to get some availability on most routes. Please call us on 0844 873 0203 if you are planning to attend test day this year.

Le Mans Race Weekend 11th & 12th June 2011

Although most people do book early for the Le Mans 24 Hours as an official agent of the circuit we can still obtain the best available tickets for this year’s race.

On-circuit: Some of the public campsites at the circuit are now full, but we do still have some limited availability in campsites such Karting Nord, Blue-Nord, Blue-Sud and Beausejour. We are also running a waitlist on all the other campsites including our own private trackside at the Porsche Curves. Alternatively we do have a last couple of rooms available in our Flexotel Village located in the centre of the circuit at Antares-Sud.

For those wishing to add something to their bookings we also have a small number of grandstand seats either on the start-finish straight or adjacent to the Ford chicane or Dunlop Bridge. Prices start from just £75.00 per seat.

Off-circuit: For those who prefer a more relaxed race experience we are still able to offer some availability in our chateau campsites at D’Eporce and Relais de Cailleres. These provide a relaxed environment for race fans away from the circuit with plenty of space and better facilities then those found at the crowded on-circuit campsites. At our Chateau Rive Sarthe property we also have a last few rooms available both in the chateau itself as well as in the Petite Village building in the chateau grounds.

To book any of the above please call our reservations team on 0844 873 0203.

Be sure to keep up to date with developments in the build up and during the race by following updates on our TwitterFeed and Facebook pages.
